Low D tuning (DGBE, bass side to treb side). Strings are New Nylgut with one aluminum wound and one silver-plated copper wound. Gauges, from treb side to bass side, 1st to 4th, are about 026 032 031w 027w. Made in Italy from a synthetic material called New Nylgut, a formulation of polymerized plastic with additives patented by Aquila that has the closest sound to gut strings we have heard.
