Set of four blueprints. Version 4 contains some major updates: all dimensions are now in both inches and millimeters, completely revised tuners, revised bridge base shape, very slight revisions on arching views, more details in inner construction view, and some small corrections in text and line styles to make them easier to read. Based on a Gibson F-5 mandolin signed by Lloyd Loar in 1923, these full-size, impressively detailed computer generated plans show the instrument from nearly every conceivable angle including front, side, headstock, tailpiece, an inside view showing placement of tonebars, a dramatic view looking down the instrument from headstock to bottom, plus soundboard thicknesses, fret to nut distances, table of materials, and many more annotated drawings. These are accurate full scale, printed for Adrian using an offset technique on offset paper (100g/m2). All lines are smooth and clean, the original arching is shown in a graduation map that reveals typical imperfections, hidden aspects of construction are shown, many of which were previously undocumented or unknown, and Bill Halsey helped put the texts into technical English with clear wording. Shipped rolled in a heavy tube. Suitable for framing. Each plan consists of 4 sheets measuring approximately 23" x 33". //ELDEX//
